natural selections
2012

condenses the notion of nature in the domestic life and creates a motley display of organized disproportion by piecing together natural imagery found on commercially printed fabrics. Eagles, giraffes, stingrays and porcupines form odd relationships and imaginary scenarios within endlessly repetitive environments of sky, stone and forest. The fabric life forms come together to create a world of colorful but fragmented environments. The once idyllic imagery is reconstructed to draw attention to the peculiarly designed reality that emerges from these patterns of life and decorously inhabits these 6 window spaces.

Material: commercial fabric and straight pins
